Arão Gove is a results-driven specialist in monitoring, evaluation, and project learning systems, with a strong track record supporting donor-funded programs across Mozambique. With over nine years of hands-on experience, he brings a rare combination of technical depth, data fluency, and strategic thinking to guide evidence-based decision-making across sectors like agriculture, health, climate resilience, and humanitarian response.

Currently leading MEL for the CASCADE project at CARE International, Arão has previously shaped evaluation systems for organizations including NCBA CLUSA, IFRC, and JHPIEGO. His work has supported the design and refinement of major national initiatives such as SUSTENTA and climate-smart agriculture projects, and he's led data intelligence efforts in post-cyclone recovery programs.

An engineer by training, Arão holds an MBA in Project Management and is certified in a wide range of M&E and data analysis tools — from Power BI to KoboToolbox, ArcGIS, and DHIS2. He is known for building practical, adaptive systems that bridge ground realities with strategic impact, helping organizations learn faster and deliver better.
